Welcome to Open Arms Home for Children, a palace nestled in the mountains of Blue Ridge, GA that is home to young ladies that need a safe, comforting place to lay their heads at night. Since our Home was completely destroyed by fire on November 26th of 2017, we have worked tirelessly to rise from the ashes. We were thankful to have found a “palace” to call home. Recovering is never easy, but we did it, and we are so very grateful for the organizations, individuals and agencies who stepped in to help us in our time of need. We could never thank everyone enough but from the bottom or our hearts, we are forever grateful. Because of the support we received, The Open Arms Home for Children continues to provide critical services to the north Georgia community, including “best in class” watchful oversight, care, love and support for young girls affected by abuse and neglect.
As you can imagine, the past year has been quite challenging, as it has been with everyone, but it has been especially hard on our young ladies because they have not been able to visit with family like they had been because of the pandemic restrictions. I am proud to say that our staff, board of directors, and community have done an outstanding job of making sure that our children remain to receive the care and environment that they need to flourish. We have maintained up-to-date policies in regards to the ever changing information on the pandemic and have made sure that our children and staff are informed and safe. The pandemic has taken it’s toll on us financially and we are asking anyone that is able to stand with us and donate in order to ensure that we are able to continue to care for children in desperate need of our first class care. You can donate from this page or go to our Facebook page.
We are so very thankful for all who have supported The Open Arms Home for Children, past and present, and we ask that you continue to support and pray for us as we care for our young girls and provide them with a loving Home. We need your continued support and we look forward to seeing you at our fundraising events that will be posted on our site in the very near future.
